Lattice vs Adobe Firefly Boards
Adobe Firefly Boards is a free, unlimited canvas built around image generation: you pay only for generation credits. It is strong at making new images and weak at the rest of a client moodboard. Viewers need an Adobe account, there is no presentation mode, and imported references are not tagged or grouped. Lattice organizes what you already have, presents through the canvas, and shares with a read-only link. Free during public beta.
The short version
If the job is to generate images, Firefly Boards wins and it is not close. The canvas is free with no board limit, generation is the center of the product, and it has native mobile apps. Lattice is not built around generation. Where Firefly Boards falls short is the job most freelancers actually have: taking references they already own and turning them into something a client can look at. It does not tag, cluster, or group imported references. Links do not unfurl into cards, there are no frames, and there is no clipper. There is no presentation mode. And sharing requires the viewer to have an Adobe account, which is a real obstacle when the viewer is a client. Lattice starts from the references you have: AI groups and tags them, frames hold each direction, presentation walks through the canvas, and a read-only link opens with no account. It exports PDF, PNG, JPG, and SVG.
