LATTICE · COMPARE

A Kosmik alternative

Kosmik shut down on 31 May 2026. If you kept client boards there, you have lost a free-form canvas with link cards, tags, and a presentation mode. Lattice covers that ground: an infinite canvas, links that unfurl into cards, tags with filtering, AI that groups and tags a board, presentation through the canvas, and a read-only client link. It is free during public beta with no card required.

The short version

Kosmik was close to Lattice in shape, and it had things Lattice does not. It ran a browser inside the canvas, so collecting never left the board. It tagged imports automatically by color, theme, and subject. It had native mobile apps, and its designer tier added a Figma plugin, custom fonts, and brand kits. None of that comes back with Lattice. What does carry over is the core of the workflow. You drop images, links, video, PDFs, and notes onto an infinite canvas. Links unfurl into cards. Tags and filters keep a large board searchable. AI groups, tags, and connects a pile of references rather than tagging one import at a time. Presentation walks frame by frame through the canvas, and a read-only link opens for a client with no account. Export covers PDF, PNG, JPG, and SVG. Capture from the web runs through a browser clipper rather than a browser on the canvas.

  • You used the Figma plugin, custom fonts, or brand kits.

Questions

Can I import my Kosmik boards?
There is no importer. If you exported images before the shutdown, drop them onto a Lattice board; links can be pasted and unfurl automatically.
Does Lattice have a built-in browser?
No. Lattice uses a browser clipper and link unfurling. Anything you clip lands on the board as a card.
Does Lattice tag imports automatically?
Lattice's AI tags, groups, and connects the cards on a board, working across the whole board rather than one import at a time.
Is Lattice free?
Yes, during public beta, with no card. A $12 per month Studio tier is announced and waitlisted.
Can I get my boards out of Lattice?
Yes. Every board exports to PDF, PNG, JPG, or SVG at any time.
